CoQ10 safe with ldopa and aspirin?

My mom is nearly 60 and she has been with Parkinson’s for 3 years and taking ldopa for 2 years. I want to make a muti for her with the 50+ mix for women. I want to add CoQ10 to her mix cos I heard it was quite good for Parkinson’s, but adding it, I found that it makes the price jump quite a bit. I want to know if its safe to add, will it clash with her medication? She is not taking anything else except low dose aspirin.

Supplement Is Pretty Low on Interactions

As far as I know, L-dopa with the carbidopa does not clash with coq10. In fact I think that supplement is pretty low on interactions. To be safe, maybe they need to be spaced 1 hour apart?

Boot Up The Vitamin C Levels

boot up the vitamin C levels too, because long term aspirin use affect vitamin c levels, more so that she is elderly and absorption rates maybe lower.
You might want to boost her various B levels too. High blood homocyteine levels, as you’ve probably heard, is a risk factor for heart disease and affects the brain too. The various vitamins especially B6 and B12 and folate, are rally good for lowering homocysteine levels.

Maybe You Need to Use The Drug Checker

I’m not quite sure about that…think you need to use the drug checker.

Green Tea Really Has A Good Reputation

Green tea is fine, it really has a good reputation, though I think 100-200mg is more than enough. I don’t know how Marry's mom is gonna react to the caffeine content. Better and more fun to drink it anyways.

Aspirin And High Levels of Green Tea Can Cash!

!! Marry !! Aspirin and high levels of green tea can clash! the green tea catechins also affect platelet aggregation like the way aspirin does. So go easy on it ok?
Likewise on the Vitamin E. Stick to 200IU. Higher will again affect the blood coagulation.

Makes Sure Your Mom Takes It with Food

Marry, if you are putting CoQ10 in, add L-Carnitine in. Its supposedly helps with the coQ10 absorption and makes sure your mom takes it with food to help with the absorption as well

CoQ10!!!
CoQ10 may reduce symptoms related to heart failure.....

CoQ10 is a naturally-occuring compound found in every cell in the body.
CoQ10 plays a key role in producing energy in the mitochondria, the part of a cell responsible for the production of energy in the form of ATP.
Double-blind research suggests that CoQ10 may reduce symptoms related to heart failure, such as shortness of breath, difficulty sleeping, and swelling. CoQ10 is thought to increase energy production in the heart muscle, increasing the strength of the pumping action.
Several small trials have found CoQ10 may be helpful for certain types of cardiomyopathy.
Lower levels of CoQ10 have also been observed in people with Parkinson's disease. Preliminary research has found that increasing CoQ10 may increase levels of the neurotransmitter dopamine, which is thought to be lowered in people with Parkinson's disease.
In human LDL it affords protection against the oxidative modifications of LDL themselves, thus lowering their atherogenic potency. CoQ10 is essential in vitamin E regeneration.
Supplementation of Coenzyme Q10 is a treatment for some of the very rare and serious mitochondrial disorders and other metabolic disorders.
Consult your health care provider before using CoQ10, specially if you have heart disease, kidney failure, or cancer.
Co 10 may lower blood sugar levels, so people with diabetes should not use CoQ10 unless under a doctor's supervision.
The safety of CoQ10 in pregnant or nursing women or children has not been established.
